Indefatigable team leader and whirlwind of ideas
Dr. Iordan is a cognitive and computational neuroscientist who studies how we construct, remember, and communicate naturalistic stories and events. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute and earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Vision and Learning Lab at Stanford University. Her academic journey started at Williams College with a B.A. in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Cognitive Science. When she's not in the lab, Cora enjoys watching Sci-Fi shows in search of new stimuli, playing board games, and building cities out of Legos with her son.

Claire's research focuses on the neural and behavioral mechanisms of information summarization in complex narratives. Prior to joining the lab, Claire was a Research Associate at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and she earned a B.S. in Neuroscience and a B.A. in Computer Science from Brandeis University. Outside the lab, Claire enjoys working on her sewing machine making plushies and cosplays. Her favorite genre is Sci-Fi and she likes to look at media as an inspiration for the future.

Parent to an absurd number of plants
AJ's reasearch explores how anticipation of future events influences perception of naturalistic narratives. Prior to graduate school, AJ was a Postbac IRTA Fellow at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), and she earned a B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology (with a minor in French) from the University of Maryland, College Park. When she's not in the lab, AJ loves exploring local farmer's markets, adding to her plant collection, pretending that she knows what she's doing at the gym, and reading Sci-Fi novels and books on fungi.

Alex’s research focuses on the factors that contribute to how people generate event boundaries in naturalistic narratives. Before joining the lab, Alex was a Research Associate at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. They earned an M.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Linguistics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Outside the lab, Alex is interested in hiking, swimming, cooking, and K-pop.
